I rode UoE today and curtains at the ending still show a screen and Ellen and the Dino is still missing..

There was also one other tthing...As I left the pavilion mirror tiles are falling off from the side as you are exiting..2 were left with them not being replaced.

They probably simply removed Ellen and the Dino when it broke because the Ellen animatronic was a travesty. I'm sure when it broke they just said, "welp, that takes care of that problem."

I love the Universe of Energy as it sits and would be devastated if they removed or ruined it by "updating" it. Sure it needs an update, but I don't have the confidence they'd do it properly. It'd probably have Goofy narrating.

I heard Bill Nye the Science Guy on a talk radio show in the car last night on NPR as a guest. I didn't pay attention. But at least he's still out there :P

I really like this attraction actually. I enjoy Ellen and Nye. And I think it's nice to have some longer attractions. Seems like you get more bang for your buck. I always enjoy how the ride vehicles work in this one too. I think it just needs some TLC.

I agree with you & the previous poster. I really enjoy watching him. If he was going to "host" anything it should be Mission Space being that he's an astrophysicist.
Gut it, expand the show building if necessary, keep the facade, and make an epic dark ride in classic EPCOT Center style with Neil DeGrasse Tyson narrating. I'd be in line on day one.

I wish they would just give him his own theatre and let him do live shows all day. I'd never leave.

As much as I'd like to see him do something for Disney I wouldn't be surprised if he did something for NASA first. I'm surprised he hasn't already.

Actually, Disney already beat NASA- he was in an episode of Gravity Falls this season when Waddles the Pig gained super-intelligence and the ability to speak.
