Electrical Water Pageant ?

Heading for the great escape.
I would have thought it was something to do with the music and letting the resorts see both wishes and EWP in all their glory.

Thay play both the the wishes music and ELP music at the resorts. If both ran at the same time it would be like watching two tvs at the same time. On a side note, I was told by a cm once that there was some kind of law or ordinance that says that they can only have 1 fireworks show at a time at the resort.

Yeah, but during New Years and July 4th I've seen more than one park at a time shoot off fireworks. I'm sure if there is a law it's a Reedy Creek one so that the Fire Dept can focus on one at a time for safety. And of course, you have exceptions.

This is not true. We run Wishes and ROE together a lot. What he may have been refering to is that you will unlikly see Fantasmic and ROE going off at the same time due to ROE being so visible from inside the Fan! theater. Plus they will not, with the exception of NYE, have fireworks at the Studios and Epcot at the same time due to the traffic crush on the roadways as the 2 parks empty out.

That's not true. I got the chance to tape Fantasmic! last time we were there, and I have some great shots of fireworks from Illuminations coming up behind the mountain while the mist screens were running.

They run IllumiNations! and Fantasmic! both at 9 pm every night of the summer...

Any of the resorts that can see the castle from the beach or the rooms would be very distracted by the music coming from both sources at once.

From what I was told on another board the only way to hear the EWP's soundtrack is via the speakers on board the barges themselves as the music is not directly broadcast to the resorts like the fireworks music. Is that right?

Well it seemed that way to me at the camp ground two years ago, and lasy year our boat back to WL got stuck behind the pagentand we got to watch it from the lagoon and it seemed that the music was barge based.

Either way its a great treatthat should get beeter publicity

In all my visits to WDW, I always try to include a watching of the EWP yet my family always seem to pass up on it. In our one stay in a hotel on the lagoon (Grand Floridian), we totally forgot until we had checked out of that hotel and were at our next (All Star Sports). Go figure :hammer:

I watched Fantasmic! with Illuminations fireworks going off behind it when I was there in May. It seems like they both get scheduled for 9pm every now and again.

I've always enjoyed the Water Pageant b/c it has a certain extreme Disney "feel" to it. Does that make sense? Like how the Disney Channel used to be when it was a premium channel--it was something special and out of the ordinary.
