Electrical Parades new ending, what do you think?

I personally think the "To Honor America" float was a much better finale. This feels lazy a attempt to shoe horn in latest and greatest IP very easily. Whenever a new movie comes out they can just make a prop a new Small World doll of a new character up there. Hopefully they bring the original float and the rest of the parade back to Magic Kingdom in the near future.

I think the float would be good if it were not the finale. It is not spectacular. The biggest thing lacking when compared with the original is that there is not a single dancer/performer. The cast members were the most amazing thing about the American float. The new float is lacking its heart.

I loved the music for the new ending, they added an extra unit why not leave the flag along and have another trail of small world units. And then upgrade the honor America, maybe add a USA rocket with buzz and woody and some other American characters. I just want my Spectromagic back, at this point that’s the only way they can lure me back in to that park along with staying open to 12 on general addition.

It’s today’s Disney. Eliminate labor at every turn.

I think this is a far more fitting finale. The Honour America float always felt like something meant for July 4th that just stuck around.

Only thing I'd want is if they brought back some dancers for back of the parade again.
My understanding was the “To Honor America” float was added for the Bicentennial in 1976 and then just stuck around.

My only issue with the new float unit is that the lights don’t match the rest of the parade. It looks like it belongs in Paint the Night more then MSEP. The rest of the show appears to be incandescent lights. I wish the finale did too.

I just wish that Magic Kingdom could get a night time lighted parade again

I haven't seen it in person, but based on photos and videos, I had that same thought about the lights in the ending.

That and the fact that it's just so lifeless with no performers.

Their first and biggest mistake was recycling as much as they could of an older float.

There's only so much you can do with that. It would have been better, if more expensive, to build something new.

I was indifferent about the To Honor America float, it was cute but always felt out of place. I did enjoy the tune and little dance the Revolutionary Ladies did, though. I'm not completely sold on this addition, but it's not the end of the world as some purists are making it out to be. I'm just thankful Disney still cherishes this iconic piece of park history and freshened it up for it's 50th anniversary.

It’s amazing how popular it is, in my opinion it’s the most successful Disney attraction and show to ever hit the American parks followed by my favorite Spectromagic. No show has ever lasted that long so close to its original form.

What Disneyland needs to do badly is invest in a rebuild of MSEP like Dreamlights in Tokyo. Paint The Night wasn’t the answer. Many do love PTN, but it still isn’t as popular as MSEP.

No, thats what WDW badly needs, DLR can keep running the falling apart MSEP while a new forgotten parade sits in storage.
