Not quite. The parade route width differs by only about a foot on each coast.

On the subject of parade route sizes, weren't WDW's original MSEP floats a little bigger? I could have sworn I read somewhere they were a bit taller and a bit wider than the DL copy that's at MK now.

Some of it directly from Disney to explain away its stupid decisions without actually admitting stupidity. How refreshing it would be to get a mea culpa every now and then.

Does it sicken anyone else to realize that just a few years ago we had a day parade and night parade in Magic Kingdom, a parade in Hollywood Studios, and a parade in Animal Kingdom (And there even was one at Epcot once upon a time...) and now all we have is this old tired parade at MK and ONE new parade in FoF at MK during the day?
Going from 4-5 parades in the resort to just 2 really makes me want them to junk MSEP and get us a new night one ASAP.

I'm sure most are disgusted at this. The most absurd is at DHS. It never really worked at DAK, but DHS was built for a parade and can use everything it can get. They should have just kept Block Party Bash.

agree. They also should have done a full blown Frozen parade at DHS, like they had done with Mulan, Hercules, Aladdin etc...but they have no gumption anymore and dont want to spend money, only cut and yet charge more.

I agree with the sentiments in the first paragraph, but don't think the second paragraph follows. The annoyance at a loss of so many parades makes me wish they... added new parades back to DHS and DAK (or at least some sort of daytime spectacular to DAK if a parade wouldn't work any more).

a version of Dreamlights WAS actually talked about when Disneyland's MSEP made it's first Florida run from '99-'01 but they decided to refurb Spectro instead.
Huh, who knew?? How long was Dreamlights in production in TDL? Dreamlights opened while MSEP was going to DCA.

Idk how far back Dreamlights was conceived i'm GUESSING maybe '97 (because originally when DL's MSEP came to Florida the first time,initally it was just there for refurb work,but since Disneyland didn't need it at that time WDW struck a deal to hang onto tit until they did. on another note it seems there are floats from Tokyo that can fit on Anaheim's parade route, as just like Florida got a few "Jubilation" floats for "Festival Of Fantasy", Disneyland also acquired a few Jubilation floats for "Paint The Night" (last I heard they would be added to PTN later on.
