I saw it. I forgot what he had to say, but I remember it wasn't much. He talked a bit about the book and how he went from getting Regis's dry cleaning to being his boss (Actually, Kelly mentioned that)... Trust me, you didn't miss much.

He was on some PBS talk show promoting his book last night. Must be on a publicity tour.

I saw that too. I dont ever watch those type of shows but i found that to be a good show. I really like it and thought it was very informative. I was gonna post a thread on it but i didnt know what the show was called.

My mom told me last night that he was suppose to be on. I was kinda bummed that i wasnt able to see it but she said that she had taped it. I might watch it sometime this morning or later tonight. Ill repost to see what I got from it.

The college that i am going to brings in ceo's from companys that involve hospitality in to speak to students to help them in the future. An advising assistant informed me that Eisner will be making a stop there sometime this year. Im really looking forward to that.

I watched it. :snore: Nothing that great at all. He wrote a book, buy it. He supports Iger. He got Regis' laundry, now he's the boss. He brought the company to a 65-67 billion dollar worth. And now we cut to some African tribal drumming. This has been live with Regis and Kelly!

*PS: The woman lost the summer safari prize.

If you enjoy seeing Michael Eisner suffer, then you will not like this show. Everyone cheered for him in multiple spots (and not just respective cheers). He was promoting his new book Camp (which I believe was supposed to be out last year). He started by talking about his past with ABC and paramount and continued to talk about how his camp experience made him who is is today. He talked a little about what his future may look like and on a side note, we learned that Kelly didn't know camp was a fun thing until two years ago. Kelly makes fun of Regis that the guy who did his laundry is now his boss and that was basically it.

Eisner was on the station I'm interning at! Too bad I wasn't there. I've heard is book is terrible.
Or does the people you spoke to just not like Mr. Eisner? On Amazon.com, the average user rating has been 5/5 stars.

Figures that Regis and Kelly wouldn't ask him a tough question. I loathe those type of shows, that get people on and never ask them a challangeing question. This is "kiss up" celeberity journalism at its best! Regis and Kelly, you suck.

A) He was on the show promoting his book, not to talk about anything else.
B) He is the boss of both of them. This isn't kissing up to a celebrity, it is making sure you don't get fired while sticking to the subject of the interview.

I figured they read it, I was just asking if perhaps their opinions of him (before the book) influenced how they enjoyed the book. For example, if I'm Aladdin and am reading a book by Jafar, I would probably think the whole thing was lies and mark it as a bad book. (I used these characters just so it wouldn't be political in any way)

I was speaking in more general terms about Regis and Kelly, not this particular interview. I understand that he is promoting his book, but to not ask him one tough question is a missed opportunity. It proves that this is just shameless self-promotion by the Walt Disney Co. I have no desire to read his crappy book.

No, that is true. The show may be for entertainment, but in my mind I think its pretty lousy entertainment.

This has nothing to do with WDC. This is Michael Eisner's book, not the Walt Disney Co's book.

Then of course there is the age old statement "if you don't like it, don't watch." LIVE is one of the most popular daytime show on TV.

It's shameless self-promotion in the sense that the WDC owns ABC which the Live with Regis and Kelly show is on has a guest who has connections to the WDC like Eisner does on to promote a book he has written. Another term for this is cross promotion. They are using one branch of their corporation to promote something that another part of their company is selling. There is nothing wrong with this of coure, it is just in my OPINION shameless self promotion. You are free to disagree if you wish.
