Post some stuff - - from reliable sources - - that hasn't been really discussed yet. Here's one of them:

In hour-long interview with LA TIMES on Monday departing DISNEY board members Disney and Gold -- Gold claims 'Eisner called him and others -- including Pixar Chairman Steve Jobs -- 'Shiite Muslims.' Gold took that to mean that Eisner believed his critics were extreme in their views. A company spokeswoman said Eisner 'categorically denies' calling anyone a 'Shiite Muslim.' LA TIMES editors will not publish the 'Shiite' claim from Gold, newspaper sources tell DRUDGE. 'We didn't have solid enough grounds to put the statement in the newspaper,' Business Editor, Rick Wartzman, explained late Monday - The Drudge Report

So Eisner calls the people he doesn't like Shiite Muslims. OK. . .does this tell us anything? I'm not sure.

(And of course I'm trusting Gold. Wouldn't you trust someone who supports DISNEY and has a valid letter instead of a denial from a businessman who has supported the WDCo. distributing ography?)

And also, doesn't the Disney Board of Directors seem like the Iraqi Foreign Minister agency???!?!

TO QUOTE. . .
We categorically reject Mr. Gold's untrue and unwarranted allegations about the Company and the Board.

Mr. Gold and Mr. Disney have chosen their current destructive course of action. OK, this sounds JUST like the Iraqi Foreign Minister.

It is a disservice to shareholders and to employees that the Company faces this distraction at a time when its performance is improving as a result of growth plans and initiatives being implemented by management with Board approval.

Yes. A BIG disservice to me. Right. And the employees I know.     We may as well add, "America will not conquer Iraq!"

Anyone selling stock?

Sounds like Gold may have said thisduring the interview but the Times could not corroborate the story so they didn't print it. Also, the other members of the Board and Eisner have denied that the commenst were ever made. I guess it comes down to who to believe. I am inclined to believe Esiner and the Board since they have loudly and clearly denied it. Gold has an ax to grind and may say anything he needs to, to stir up support and emotion for his side.

Shame on the parties invloved - the dicussions and fights should be kept to the Business reasons for removing Eisner. Slinging dirt at each other will only hurt Dsiney, not help it. Take the high road, not the low road.

Yes the best person should lead. However, I guess I just have higher hopes for American Business. Capitalsm does not require thi stype of behavior to be successful. Americans (at least this one) are getting tired of all of the mud slinging and tabloid style rhetoric being used by all segments of society (Politicians, etc.). Roy Disney and Gold have valid criticisms of Eisner's leadership and the managment of Disney. I just wish they would take the high road, make their case to the shareholders and the public and let the chips fall as they may. I would have more respect for them and their arguments if they did so. Just MHO.
