Efteling Orlando?

Any chance Efteling builds a park here? That would be totally awesome as they build dark rides on par with Disney and Uni and in some cases better. I know it's an extremely small chance but if anyone knows anything I'm inclined to hear.

The short answer is No. Efteling is mostly based in the Netherlands in Holland and most of their stuff are only well-known unless you grew up in Holland where the theme park is very well-known there. Not to mention creative differences and how careful they are with their works. Plus Efteling is insanely popular in it's native country and despite being a bit cheaper with some of their attractions it's still very impressive for a non-Disney theme park.
Not to mention The Netherlands and most of Europe has a long history with Medieval history and Fairy Tales in general. The park even predates Disneyland.

The latest attraction "Symbolica" is already a hit over there.

Plus what also makes Efteling unique and stand out with Universal and the Disney Parks is that it actually started out very small as a small Fairy Tale park that only showed scenes based on stories from the Brothers Grimm and other classic stories. The park then gained a small expansion in the 1978 and turned into a fully fledged theme park in 1984. The entire park was even built in an actual forest and Efteling even has it's own team that protects wildlife over there.

That'll be a no then.

With Disney and Uni both upping their game and expanding, plus the lower tiers taken with Seaworld and Busch, and dozens of even lower niche areas covered its almost an impossible market to tap into. Legoland are possibly the last newcomer we'll see as a new, fully fledged destination resort.

(Whisper)But Legoland was built on the legacy asset of Cypress Gardens.

And let's be honest, when you think of a fun Florida theme park it's usually Walt Disney World or Universal. Legoland is the last thing that you would guess since that park is mostly well-known to locals.

Good call. But surely the IP is the draw, not the legacy. If anything the asset made it easier for another arrival in a saturated market.
That’s why the idea of more players coming to Orlando shouldn’t be cast aside so quickly. There’s a weakling in SeaWorld, which has a nice amount of property and without Comcast’s money, UNI’s current IP Multiplex business model will eventually fall apart. Will Six Flags or Cedar Fair ever build a locals park in Orlando? Probably not. However, there is a long term opportunity for a company/companies who service Intelluctal Properties or rightsholders themselves to build 1-2 day destinations, like Legoland. Question is, do the existing players buy up enough land and stay competitive with fresh, quality product to prevent that from happening?

Who?
Honestly I think lego land built that as a way to save Cyprus gardens and the unique plants and trees (sausage trees anyone). Many groups wanted it saved and Lego who is environmental aware thought it was a good fit.
Why build in Orlando? or even florida? IF you want to build a theme park in the US think where the huge hitters aren't.
a) year round good weather (goodbye northern states) (or desert states)
b) Low competition (six flags or regional theme parks could easily be crushed)
c) population
d) easy access (interstates, airports)

If you could then place at the center of the country the better.

Easy answer...... Texas.....

but I don't think there will be another major amusement park built... with travel as cheap as it is, you will see the big dogs remain... small dogs, environmental/animal activist troubled close..... so people will travel to the big parks every few years and get by on the regional small fries such as six flags till the next big trip.
Once again to the original question...

Efteling is a Fantasy Theme Park in Holland that pays attention to detail with their attractions and rides.

sorry it was my take on sarcasm :) In the American market I don't think anyone would care. They would have to do a ton of advertising just to get their name out there. Unless they built in a place with low competition.
