Effect of Magic Your Way Tickets

Well, I've just been given a free week at a timeshare in Orlando by a friend! It's not "on property" but at least I will be at the World. With a trip scheduled for DL next summer, I had no plans for a visit until 2008. Since I let my AP expire in June, I suddenly have to make some choices about tickets. Since the resort I will be staying in is just down the street from Universal, I originally thought I might spend five days at WDW parks and make my first ever visit to Universal Studios and IOA. But after looking at how cheaply I can add days six and seven with MYW, we've decided to skip Universal again.

I'd have to say that the next couple of years might reveal that MYW may be the most significant move Disney has made to retain guests since their super build up of on-property hotels.

And now my question...
Has MYW changed your plans for visiting other Orlando theme parks and attractions?

I think the goal was to get people to stay longer and thus spend more in the parks and I believe they are acomplishing that.

Personally i get the 14 day World Pass that includes everything as im a UK resident. however i have noticed that there are numbers of people visiting the other attractions in orlando decrease and disneys rise.

however i have visited every orlando park every year without fail and also managed to visit Busch Gardens and Kennedy Space Centre within a two week period, this shows that although i prefer disney i think that universal, Seaworld and Busch Gardens have their own unique image and attractions that i would never compromise a visit to one of them over disneys

The MYW tickets haven't changed my plans to see other Orlando attractions, because I had no plans to see them to begin with:lol:

It has however, changed my Disney plans. I have fallen right into the Disney trap. Since tickets are just a dollar or two more per day after the four day mark, I tend to stay a day or two longer:wave:

That's been my attitude, too! But at some point, I'd like to check out the other side. Now it might just be a few more years.

I have been to the other parks in the past but not during my Disney vacations.
I keep my Disney vacations separate.
When I am at Disney I hate to take leave the property.
There is so much at Disney to do and see!
