(Pre) Trip Report--Flashback 1997 *follow-up*
'Photos from the (eventually) Happiest Place on Earth...'
So before I put up yesterday's post I had been looking for pics from that trip to go along with it, but since this was way before digital cameras I had no idea in which old shoebox at the bottom of which cluttered closet they were kept.
Luckily I was able to recall that my cousin Tim and his family had met up with us that week, and he's since digitized all his old photographs from over the years. So, without further ado:
Here's the image that I had in my mind about Brendan waking up that morning in Philly and finding himself on Main Street with the castle behind him later that afternoon (minus the tears beforehand...lol). His cousin Emily is on the left.
Here's the two kiddos on the balcony of Tim's room at the Contemporary
(I still vow to stay there ourselves one day...)
Here they are at the luau dinner at the Poly
(nice job on the sunblock for your son's cheeks, Dad...)
And here we all are at Epcot--Brendan and I are on the far left
(Aww, so little. Now he's taller than me...lol)
And speaking of red faces, can you tell that Tim's and my side of the family are Irish?? lol
Our pasty-white Philly complexions didn't stand much of a chance during a week in the Orlando sun.
Of course, back in 1997, our sunscreen options were pretty much limited to baby oil and Coppertone 2...
