Yeah I just saw that, but did you really take a close look at the site, in particular this, (see below)

ATTRACTIONS LIKE THIS:

Star Tours - the ultimate Star Wars™ thrill ride

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith

Space Mountain®

DINOSAUR

How can they say its like Star Tours, or Dinosaur, did I miss something, are there roller coaster type drops on either of these rides?? :brick: I mean I can see comparing it to the two Roller Coasters on property, but not those two others, I could see putting in Mission: Space and Test Track for their intensity and everything else that they put you through. Who knows, maybe I'm just crazy and I'm losing it. :hammer:

Huh?!?!

What that part of the website intends to do is, if you like this ride, you may like these rides, they are aimed at a similar market. Not this ride is just like the following.

Hehe, thanks for letting us know, I thought it was going to be called Expedition Everest, Mission Hymalyas; The site though refers to it as Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

EE: Mission Himalayas refers to the Imagineers' trip to the Himalayas to research for the ride.

EE: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain refers to the actual ride

Expedition: Everest - Mission Hymalyas was the name of the research mission Disney and Conservation International lead in the region. The name of the attraction has always been Expedition: Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

That list changes everytime I refresh the page. The last time I got Splash Mountain and Tobbogan Racers so it must be just in a certain category.

Interesting bit about the EE: Himilayas vs. Legend thing. Thanks for clarifying, I'd thought they meant the same

And there's an advisory as well...

For safety,
You should be in good health and free from high blood pressure,
heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness,
or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure.
Expectant mothers should not ride.

Adult supervision required.

I wonder if everyone is gonna read this & most of all... realize before getting in... And think twice before they start claiming again...

Thanks for the post. I really feel like the clock has started ticking now to the opening.

Speaking of the warnings. Of course the legal department requires those things to CYA. But it always reminds me of the first time I went to WDW in the mid 70's with my parents and after reading all the warnings online for Space Mountain my mother was scared to death to ride.

But she did and loved it.

P.S. She is now 70 (Dad 72) and I'm treating them to a Holiday trip to WDW and they will be riding with me on TOT!!

"Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain™ (Coming Spring 2006)"

Why is this the first time We've ever heard the full name? :veryconfu

It isn't. It was announced when the ride was--over two years ago.

BORING!

Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

what a long, a$$ name. They need something with more of a catch.

"Its Everest B*tches!"

That's more like it. The language alone will keep the kiddies away.

In all seriousness (because you can't be serious enough on these boards) keeping the name short is wiser. Like in two words, like SM, HM, Splash M etc.

I'm glad its easy to hit 'EE' on the keyboard.

Edit: this page has been out for a while now -- see AK1990's thoughtful thread on track length!

It's possible that they've given EE this full name so they can change it in the future. They added "Curse of the Black Pearl" to the POTC title shortly before the movie was released in the anticipation of a sequel.

Giving it a sur-name (seemingly the name of the story within the ride) would let them update the ride later on without changing it physically, much like the Tower 4 programming at ToT or the yet-to-be-unveiled "RockIt Mountain" overlay at DL's Space Mountain.
