camelcamelcamel is your friend. It watches Amazon prices for you and tells you when they go down. I have an extension for Chrome that pops up in the address bar whenever I'm at an Amazon product page; if I click on it, it will show me a graph of the Amazon price, the 3rd party new price and the 3rd party used price, as well as a text representation of the highest and lowest prices. You can set it up to e-mail you when the price drops below a certain level. You don't even need an account. In about ten seconds after I read your post, I found that the 2-disc Wreck-It Ralph Bly-ray combo pack was 17.99 on 3/30.
blu-ray.com does the same thing. The issue is that Disney movies rarely go down too far. Finding a Disney movie on blu ray for $15 or less is very rare. I typically try to restrict my movie purchases to that price range, so Disney movies are typically out of it. Eventually I'll have to cave and spend a bit more for Disney.

I will say that I would feel less bad about spending the money on Disney blu-rays because of the fancy extras they're rolling out that you don't get streaming or on DVD... Second Screen and the fancy things that happen when you pause. I think they're doing a good job allowing you to justify your purchase.

Stopped buying DVD's three years ago. Just watched one the other day and was amazed how bad it looked compared to the quality of Blu-ray. I can see why DVD is dying out. I predict it will last only a few more years before it's gone. People always tell me I waste my money buying Blu-rays when online streaming will become the new norm. Online streaming has a LONG ways to go before it matches the qaulity of Blu-ray. I see BR players at best-buy for only like $80. I'm surprised that so many people are stubborn to get with the program.

I love my Blu ray. I also have Netflix, both disc and streaming.
Like you said, streaming isn't at the level it could be. Streaming is affected by the speed of your Internet connection.
