Eavesdropping at The World

I heard a few funny one's on my trip but this overbearing mother was the most annoying one of all. We were waiting for a bus at DD and my friend had to use the washroom so we moved over to the side to wait for her when this family showed up...then another family...then a couple. There are now two families (both 5 people) a couple and my 2 friends and I - total of 15 people waiting for a bus.

This woman then instructed everyone how they were to get on the bus. She announced to all of us "We were here first so we will be getting on teh bus first, then your family can go, then you two and these girls (meaning myself and my friends) left the line so they can get on last. When the bus pulled up we just walked past her and got on first as she complianed to the driver who really didn't give a crap.

Then when she finally sat down the mother of the other family asked her daughter what her favourite ride was so far and the daughter said Space Mountain. The overbearing mother then butted in and this conversation happened:

Mom: You didn't like Space Mountain, you hated Space Mountian
Daughter: No I loved Space Mountain
Mom: No you didin't...you were screaming on it
Daughter: that doesn't mean I didn't like it
Mom: Yes it does, you hated it. (*then turns to the other mother who asked the question) She hated it, she doesn't know what she's saying. She liked Peter Pan, we all liked Peter Pan, Peter Pan is our favourite ride.

I can't even imagine having a mother like that...what a miserable vacation having this woman order everyone around and tell them what they like - whether they like it or not.

Another thing I saw which was kind of funny and kind of sad was the amount of parents screaming at their children to smile. They put a screaming 3 year old next to Pooh and both parents are yelling at the kid to smile - "We only get one picture with Pooh NOW SMILE!!!!!!"

Another mother was taking pictures of her 3 kids in front of the Tree of Life and said, "Ok smile...ummm...Lori, you don't smile, you have a terrible smile...yeah, don't even do that just try to look normal."

waiting for Studio's parade

Heard in line while waiting for parade to start

"Oh yes, this (park) use to be Disney-Univeral but (Disney) made them made so they went off and started their own park"

This reminds me of my 4 year old boy who wanted to go on the Haunted Mansion. We took him and he hid his face in my shirt the whole time every once in awhile peaking out. Afterwards I asked him if he liked it, he said yes it was my favorite, I asked do you want to go again so you can at least look at things this time. He said, no way it was way too scary. I just laughed. It's been two years and he still talks to all of his friends how awsome it was and that it was his favorite ride. Just goes to show, it can appear that you don't like something but really love it!
