We packed a suitcase full of food for the room and to have as snacks at the parks. Guess what. We didn't eat ANY of it, LOL!!!! Except for the water bottles we brought, we ended up bringing everything else back home with us! This is the second trip where this happened to us, and I guess I didn't learn from the first time. Taking food for the room is silly, IMO. I won't bother doing it again. The water bottles were nice because we got a head tart on the water buying of the day, but, we STILL ended up buying water at the parks several times. The fountain water was never as cold as we would have liked, and sometimes it tasted yucky. So, we used our bottles from home for the first couple hours, and then bought more water as the day went on. I packed some crackers and things for the kids to snack on, and not once would they eat it. I stopped carrying it around after the second day. Florida is really hot and walking makes you thirsty more than hungry. Many times all the kids wanted was a cold drink and some ac to sit in. We ate a big character breakfast every morning and we werern't hungry (kids included) until well past noon (2PM usually). Then we either has PS for another sit down meal for a late lunch, or we had a snack until our PS for a sit down dinner (6:30 or 7PM usually). That meal lasted till the next morning!!!! The portions at Disney are HUGE! We never ate more than two meals, even with kids, and just had a few snacks in between. Turkey legs, Dole Whips, pretzels, fruit, ice cream, ice pops, or even just an order of fries was all we needed. Those things are cheap and taste great, so why did I pack all that food????????????Originally posted by savannahsmiles
