Eating at the American Adventure Pavilion

On TV, I recently saw a show about special events in Walt Disney World during the holidays. One of them featured a buffet that was set up in the lobby/waiting area of the American Adventure pavilion in Epcot. They had tables and chairs set up to serve dinner, and it was done all nice and fancy.

Does this really exist, or was it just for the TV show? Does anyone have any details they can share with me about it?

It was a rented out private party. And I'm sure it cost a pretty penny. You can't get food like that at the Liberty Inn

Wasn't there a rumor a few months ago that the QSL at America would be refurbed into a table service or a buffet?

My company had an award celebration for a week at Disney World in 2000. Each evening they provided a fine meal at various locations. One night they served dinner in the waiting area. Fully catered with waiters. Not your regular burgers and fries available next door.

My company has its annual meeting every couple years at WDW and I have been lucky enough to eat in many "non-traditional" dining areas with our group... like the American Adventure rotunda one you saw on the TV special!

It is quite an event and the whole location is so beautiful when filled with candlelight from the centerpieces. The Voices of Liberty were there to welcome us with a perofrmance and Colonial Mickey and MInnie stopped by fro pictures after dinner. It was an all-around top rate experience from WDW catering services!

I've also attended special dinner events in the China and Norway pavilions and at MGM, too, which were just as unique!

Speak to your corporate planners right away and suggest that you have your next corporate function at WDW!

The Disney Dining Experience has had special dinners there; there's been at least two that I know of-- a masquerade and a holiday dinner. If I remember correctly, the cost was somewhere on the order of $200 per person, and sold out very quickly.
