I am interested in finding out what is thought to be the best restaurant in Epcot.
I have eaten in Mexico and China which were both great but would like to find what other peoples views are.

We got 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 entrees (my husband got the surf -n- turf special, which cost $50-$60), 2 desserts, and 2 beverages. Trust me...we got our moneys worth...Eating at Coral Reef really made doing Disney's Deluxe Magic vacation package well worth the cost.

Hope I don't get made fun of (big selection in The World Showcase) but I love the Coral Reef Cafe' in the Living Seas. I personally love sea food and they have a great creamy lobster soup.

My favorites in Epcot are LeCellier in Canada, Alredo's in Italy and Teppanyaki in Japan. I also like the Biergarten in Germany, but I can't get my group to go and I haven't been there in quite a while. ( I do like to step outside of Epcot and go to the Yachtsman!) :lookaroun

I agree they are all great. We usually do coral reef at lunch, and one of the others for dinner.

My favs:

Rose and Crown in UK (brought me back to my days of living in London)
San Angel Inn in Mexico (I know a lot people feel the quality has gone down, but we had a great meal here on our last trip)

Sorry Maria, I love the atmosphere at Mexico but the dinners just didn't do it for us. We've tried it twice. Have fun exploring all of your choices.

I don't have a huge appetite, so a brat on the go is great for me :)

I think it's called Sommerfest? Anyway, I love bratwurst sandwiches. I got hooked on them when I lived in Germany. And I used to have schnitzel sandwiches also. When I go to Epcot with my family and we want to get a quick bite to eat, I hit the stand in Germany and then I walk over and meet them at the American Pavillion. They need their burgers and fries.

France is our favorite for a quiet meal if it's just my husband and me..our daughter and her boyfriend LOVE Japan..our son just hates sitting around in restaurants, so it's strictly fast food for him. (The only thing the whole gang agrees on is that the buffet at Norway is not our cup of tea at all!)

Food Plan

I'm telling you everyone should go with the discovery magic plan. The food (appetizers, main course, dessert and drinks) are included in the price plus the tips are included. It is well worth the money, we used it for the first time in 2001 and also last year, we wouldn't do it any other way!!!! You go there, you don't have to worry about if you have enough money to eat, because it's all taken care of!!! We have tried so many different places to eat because of it, it's simply the best thing we have ever done. And no we are far from rich!!!

I didn't realize they were doing this again.:D

Back 15 years ago or so they were doing whole vacation plans like this. I know that my family (4 of us total) racked up a 300+ dollar bill at Narcoose's that we didn't have to pay for:D

Back to the topic at hand, being the Disney freak I am, me and my family have eaten at nearly every sit-down restaurant on the Disney Property.

Epcot is the best because you have such a broad range of tastes and styles you can get. A note here, we normally go for lunch. The menu is almost always the smae, prices are remarkabley cheaper, but you lose some entertainment shows and things like that.

-Mexico - Good food, great atmosphere. One of my favorite themed restaurants if you get a table up against th River of Time.
-Norway - Interesting food. Not bad, but definitely different.
-China - Haven't been there in a while, but last we went, good Chinese. Nothing terribly mind blowing that sticks out in y memory though
-American Adverture - It's America, what do you expect but a burger and hot dog stand?:D
-Germany - NEver went there until a few years back with my brother because we thought, "Germany, sauasge and saurkraut." Wow, were we ever wrong! Fantastic food and atmosphere. Nice fun floor show.
-France - Very impressive dishes with great presentation. Make sure you go to the pastry shop for breakfast one day. (And a side note here, we never knew there was a highc lass restaurant above Les Chefs de France. Apparantly on the roder of Victoria and Alberts)
-The UK - Eh. Traditional British food. Not bad, but just not quite my idea of a fine dinning experience.
-Morrocco - Much like Norway, interesting food. I love the pavillion of Morrocco, and the restaurant carries the theme well. Careful of the food or you might pick something excessively spicy (They were pretty good about warning us though) NEver got to see the belly dancers though since it was lunch:(
-Italy - Very nice. I highly recommiend it if you like Italian. Traditional cuisine, nice atmosphere.
-Japan - Been to all except the Sushi bar. Good Japanese food, but in the main restaurants not as adventurous. REally would have loved to see more traditional Japanese meals so you could try some really interesting things, along the lines of Morrocco and Norway. But all that aside, I loved i, and you should experience the Teppan Yaki room at least once.
-Coral Seas - This usd to be a staple of our visit that we would go to every year. From the first year it opened we went. WEll done seafood and you can;t beat the view. I definitely like the update they did to the interior a number of years back. If you never saw the original, just imagine a completely bare place pretty much.

Bottom line?

If I only had a few choices, Japan, Italy, Coral Seas would be at the top of my list with Mexico and France right behind them.

Phew, bet you were looking for that much info, were ya?

Good thread. I've eaten at most of the WS restaraunts so I'm going to rank them (just my opinion of course). If I don't list it, I haven't eaten there, and I'm not including counter service.

1. Teppanaki - Can't spell it, but I love it. I've eaten at the sushi bar too, but I'll just lump it in here.

2. San Angel - I love being outside when I'm inside and always love mexican food.

3. Alfredo's - Good food and atmosphere.

4. Rose & Crown - Better beer than food, but still like the fish n chips.

5. China - Chinese food is good, but I have a lot of them around here already.

6. Canada - Again, good food, but I can get steak anywhere here.

7. Morroco - I really don't like the food much, but the belly dancers keep this from being the last pick.

8. Germany - While I may have some german blood, I really dislike German food, so much so that even the beer doesn't make up for it.

I know, I haven't tried France or Norway. Just never had a chance to try Norway, and I still have a hard time with France ever since I had the foreign exchange student stay with me from there.
