This year will be my first visit to the Food and Wine Festival. I noticed they are offering dining packages for this. Do the Eat to the Beat concerts really get crowded?
Are they really that popular, I never see anyone really talk about the concerts.

Prices are a little high, lunch prices $34.99 to $59.99 or dinner $49.99 to $74.99 or 2 dining credits.
Includes appetizer, entree, dessert, drink, and guaranteed seating.

Worth it?

Ive never seen a concert get that packed. Ive never had an issue, then again I'm fine with being in the back.

Are you kidding me? They are upcharging another event at Epcot that was never that packed to begin with? What about the wristbands for Chase Disney Cardholders? They are creating a sort of "false demand" by doing these "premium seating, guaranteed access, throw in dessert" events. I really suspect this is because MM+ has not produced the promised increases in per guest spending. WDW is watching and learning so, if you have a favorite spot to watch a parade...don't tell anyone. WDW will rope it off, throw in a cupcake and sell it to somebody else.

I think you will have no problem finding a seat at one of the concerts so I would not buy a package deal for one of them. I also only snack around the world. My wife and I split the dish even though it's small so we can try more of them. The small dishes are all under 10.00 and most about 7.00. It can add up but it's only money and it's our anniversary week. I picked my fast passes yesterday. 59 days to go. 9 days and 8 nights all WDW.

First concert of the night almost always fills up (then a bunch of old people leave if they don't like the artist).

Always had a seat third show, but with popular acts may be fairly far back.

I've never had a problem getting a seat. But we like sitting in the back anyway. Plenty of room to stretch out and put your feet up.

You would think that the concerts should be easy to get into, but if they're holding seats for dinner package people then who knows what the crowds will look like. Just like it seems every year the section for Candlelight dinner packages seems to get larger and larger while the Standby lines get longer and longer and more Standby people get turned away.

I'm actually looking forward to the ETTB shows on my Festival nights (Rick Springfield & Christopher Cross).
But there's no way in hell I'm buying a dining package when I'll be stuffing myself at the food booths.
If I show up for a show 10 minutes early and there's no seats left, I'll take it as a sign that I should instead spend that time trying new beers at the booths.

Same nights as us Worldfanatic. I'm actually pretty excited to see Rick Springfield. I was a youngster in the 80's and spent most of my TV time watching MTV - when they actually played videos - so Rick is a favorite .

Seriously??? Is there NO end to what they will upcharge?? Crazier still, is there no end to what certain people will pay for?? I'm so done with all of this. So glad our trip is after F&W. And I know we are going to have a great time, as it's most likely the last one. Gotta use up those tickets I got from UT a while back....

I could turn out to be wrong about this, but I don't see this being a real big seller - partially due to cost and partly due to many of the acts being pretty dated.

I talked to a Disney manager last week about this and he said it hasn't been decided yet if this will be offered throughout the festival or just on weekends.

For the OP, where are you seeing prices on this? I've talked to several other locals who are aware of this info but no one I know has actually seen prices.

^^^THIS. I'll save the sit down restaurants for non-F&W Festival time.
