Haven't heard anything about it. I highly doubt it, but you might wanna wait about two more weeks or so and check around, they might have a "surprise" parade or something...Who knows.

That IS sad.
We always went during Easter (not for the parade, but for the school break and extra flowers). Thats a shame they don't run a special version of a parade. I saw it once on Easter, and it was fun. Wow.

MK will probably be mega crowded on Easter Sunday. I've read on other sites about special events for Easter like an Alice in Wonderland party at UK in Epcot and the Easter Rabbit showing up at different locations.

Disneyprep, your experience was the reason I asked the question of which park would be best on Easter Sunday.
What makes the Magic Kingdom and/or EPCOT (Center) the preferred parks on Easter Sunday?
Easter is shaping up to be jam packed this year. It is going to be fun!

We are going to be there over Easter as well. We have PS at Chef Mickey's for Breakfast (tried to get Cinderella Castle but no luck) and then were planning on going to MK. I was worried about the crowds as well and wondering which park would be the best to go to on Easter. We can switch days and go to another park on this day as it is at the beginning of our trip (we arrive Good Friday). Any other comments about people's experiences would be appreciated.

Easter had traditionally brought for us Church in the Fantasia Ballroom at the Contemporary, followed by a peaceful day relaxing at our Resort.
I was only officially at MK for the parade three vacations. It just got to be tooo much.

I would say unless it is a must Stay far away from all Parks during Easter break...... Unless it is a must! It is Crazy busy..... May is a much better time to go!!! Before for the summer rush
