Bad. Very very bad.

When Easter coincides with the first week in April (which it does next year) crowds are similar to Christmas week and MK goes into phased closings. Standby waits for headliners like Soarin and Test Track are over 2 hours.

Been there. Done that. Never again.

We've gone 2 weeks before Easter and noticed a significant increase in crowds the few days before we leave. So the weekend before Easter has been pretty crowded in our experience.

For those of us who have the week after Easter off, we get Good Friday too. Usually pull the kids a day or three early and get a 11 or 12 day trip out of it. Really, didn't see much difference in the two weeks. They were both CRAAAAAAAAAZY! But we planned for it and loved it. :joyfull:

According to http://www.mousesavers.com/walt-dis...asked-questions-about-walt-disney-world/#busy about Easter:

The WORST times to visit Walt Disney World are:

Mid-February through mid-April (or later, depending on the date of Easter). Easter week (the weekend of Easter and the following week) is the second most busy time of the year. Holiday weekends in this time frame, such as President’s Day, are also exceptionally busy. Expect big crowds, high resort prices and expensive airfares, but usually very nice weather. This whole period is a peak time due to various overlapping Spring Breaks, though there can be slower periods of a few days here and there, particularly mid-week.

Forewarned is forearmed. If you know it's going to be crowded and plan accordingly, you will be fine. Definitely not the best time for a newbie to go though. Easier when you already have your favorites and your ADRs planned, and now with FP+ if you stay on top of your 60 day window you should at least be able to get your top three each day.

We go for spring break every year. Our break always falls either the week of, the week before, or the week after Easter. We have never had a problem. Previously, would just work our schedule around EMH. This past year we stayed off site, I was very nervous about the crowd because we couldn't use EMH. However, again, it was no problem what so ever. All it takes is a good plan!

Was there the week after Easter this year - very crowded. And unseasonally hot for late April. I would avoid WDW when Easter week and Spring Break coincide if at all possible.
