Easter Time

I was wondering if they put up decorations or do anything special for the time leading up to Easter. I am going towards the end of March and Easter is in April this year (didn't want to be there that week).

I was there this past March but arrived the Wednesday after Easter and if there were decorations they were down.

I have been at Easter time a few times and never saw any special decorations. In another thread awhile back I think they said something about having the Easter Bunny make an appearance.

The week leading up to Easter is usually crowded, but the places seems to empty out for the following week.

I've made 4 trips to WDW at Easter. There used to be a parade but this doesn't happen any more nor are there aren't any special decorations.
I too have heard about the Easter Bunny but I've not witnessed this.
The parks get busier the nearer to The Easter Weekend you get and then it slowly quietens down afterwards - check out the park hours (when they're published) and the crowd levels are reflected by the longer park operating times

Easter truly is a lovely time to visit.
It's hot first of all, but with fewer showers.
Plus baseball's winningest team is in town. How about them Braves.
Yes, there are no specific park decorations at Easter like at Christmas or Halloween.
But there is still an Easter Day Parade! I saw it this year. Ladies in Southern belle-type dresses walk down Main Street towards the square, with Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny following in a car. They later sign autographs by City Hall. Also, things like the trolley rides said 'Happy Easter, Magic Kingdom, 2005' on the back.
While the parks may not be decorated, the resort stores certainly are - lots of fluffy yellow chicks in baskets. Visit at that time and you'll be left in no doubt what holiday it is.
But it can get busy. If the busiest spring break weeks collide with Easter itself, the MK becomes almost unbearable. On Easter Day, HM was lining up way down by the riverboat.

I am going to be there March 20-28. This past March I was there the week after Easter and it must of cleared out because the parks were not that bad. I don't want to be there the week of Easter because of those crowds.

Maybe I will be able to find some cute Easter stuff in the resort then.

Sometimes you will spot some pretty yellow and pastel colored Easter flowers, but each year there are less and less.

I've been to Disney during Easter Break at least a dozen times. At one point, there were some really good special events, decorations, flowers, special character greets, and parades back in the 80s and early 90s. Since then, Easter is not celebrated nearly as much as it had been, or should be. It was a fun, colorful time but is now just a time of increased crowds, a few Resort candy scrambles, and an Easter Bunny making special appearances. As I said earlier, even the flowers have been noticeably cut back.
