Easter Crowd Levels

Just curious if anyone at WDW this weekend could give us an update on the crowd level. I remember in years past the Easter crowds are ridiculous and wondering if this year will be the same.

Originally the girls I am going with planned on going Easter Weekend and thank goodness I was able to talk them out of that but our schedules only allowed us a short time off together.

This means we're going next week - April 12th to 21st. (12-17 at Disney, 17-21 at Universal/Sea World)

Any estimates at crowd levels for us? It's been a while since I have been there in Spring...have done Winter and Summer trips the last few times. I know it used to be slower on the weeks after a major holiday but lately there never seems to be a slow time.

Easter 2011, April 24th, was deserted at EPCOT! I was shocked to say the least. Not sure if it was because Easter was so late in the yr and most families were done with Spring Breaks or everyone was at MK, but it was a fantastic surprise for us :sohappy:

No way... I was there last year and had to wait over 75 minutes in the fast pass line for Soaring. I'm not sure the exact date... but, it was the week prior to actual easter. We were home on the 24th... but, the dates leading up to Easter were CRAZY:brick:

Two words *Good Luck*, yes busy at Magic Kingdom, however Epcot and Animal Kingdom aren't too bad (think weekends during late Feb or early March), DHS varies, some years were sort of busy, others weren't.

Similar experience yesterday for us. Not deserted but it felt like a normal Saturday. We were there from 10-3. It started to get more packed in World Showcase around 3 but there was no wait for SSE when we walked out. I figured it would have been more crowded than it was.

I went to Disney this past week (Thurs-Sat). Thursday we went to Epcot, which overall was somewhat busy, the longest we waited for an attraction there was about 45 minutes for Mission: Space. Test Track lines were wrong, but we grabbed 2 fast passes for it. On Friday we hit MK which was the busiest out of the 3 days we were there, but it was also the evening and morning EMH. Our longest wait here was probably between 30-45 minutes too, grabbing fast passes for Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Pooh. On Saturday we went to DHS which was decently busy, ToT waits got up to about 45 minutes and RnRC was about 90 minutes at it's peak. TSMM was busy as well, and the one ride we skipped that day. Used FP's towards RnRC twice, ST once and ToT once.

Easter really was not all that bad to compared to the crowd levels we have seen when going during the summer or the week or so before Christmas. Though busy, I would have to say I greatly prefer it to either mid-summer or Christmas-time. The trick is prioritizing the attractions and fast passes all the way :animwink:

Thank you! This gives me an idea of what to expect when I arrive on Thursday. I can wait 45 minutes for a few attractions if I have to and I'll get some Fast passes. They years I worked at Disney (before FP's) the wait for Splash Mountain on Easter weekend got up to 4 hours!

No problem :) We had a Disney first-timer with us when we went, so we made sure to try to do as much as possible during our stay, and got a great majority of all the attractions at the parks in, as well taking a break for at least an hour or so each day. Busy, but manageable.
