Other than some subtle decorations, minor events at some of the hotels (easter egg hunt, candy scramble), some character modifications, parade, and the songs from the Main Street Trolly, special meal packages, I don't know of a lot.

There will be big crowds and extended hours. Did I say big crowds?

Contrary to any planning advice I would give, I will be there the week before Easter as my daughter plays in a baseball tournament at Sports.

From a decoration/change perspective, it doesn't come close to Christmas in the parks

we've been there in the past over easter, and it was a great time. very decorated and for kids its a great time with all the easter bunny excitement. you'll have fun!

That basically sums up Easter - no parade any more though

Didn't mean a separate parade, but I thought they changed some of the characters in the parade...having the Easter Bunny for example....

I was there last year over Easter and we had a great time. We had Wednesday through Sunday at the parks. I just planned it so I was not a MK on the weekend. I did not think the crowds we bad - I did not wait for anything longer than 20 minutes. We did see the trolly at MK with Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny on it and Briar Rabbit at AK on Easter Day. Enjoy your vacation!! :)

Well that is during EPCOT's Flower and Garden Festival, so you would be able to enjoy the park all decked out in more flowers than you can sneeze at.

As Easter is second to only Christmas and New Year in terms of park attendance I find that hard to believe - Easter 2003 saw lines of over 90 minutes for Splash, BTMR, TOT, RNRC etc etc

My family went during Easter in 1997, and I don't remember the crowds being bad at all. Also, it's a shame they don't have an Easter parade; it was adorable.

Keeping in mind that my visit was so long ago, I can tell you that the celebration, like most at Disney, wasn't just "the day of" the holiday. Please advise, those of you who have visited more recently, if this is incorrect.

My family was there Easter Sun-Wed 2004. On Sun, we went to Epcot in the morning & the crowds weren't that bad, MK in the evening & it rained so it seemed really busy w/ everyone trying to get inside. The rest of the week the crowds were bearable.

Aw man..I'm going the week before Easter. I'm guessing I'll be in for some long lines. It's not by choice though. I'm going then because I'm goin down to march in the Share a Dream Come True Pre-parade thing (Steel Valley Colorguard..look for me! I'll be in the front row, right side :p )

What day are you marching...I'll be sure to give a yell!

With the crowds, one suggestion is plan on being at whatever park you want to be at for the opening. Even on the busiest days you have about two hours where you can get on E tickets with minimum wait, then pick up some FP's for later, then just relax and enjoy the parks at a leisurely pace in the PM.

We'll be getting to the parks at opening time on most days..so that'll work good then. We're marching Tuesday, April 11 :)
