Early November?

Good morning all!

My husband and I are toying with the idea of taking a November trip and want your thoughts!
Pros and cons? What to expect? We would likely go the first full week of November which excludes Veterans Day. We've been there the second-third week of October for referencing purposes.

Thanks!!!

We will also be there in November but the 9th-15th. I am anxious to see the responses you get. We have been in the summer, winter and early fall....September. This will be our first trip in November. Hopig for temperate weather and fewer crowds. :cat:

We've gone in early November in 2012 and 2013 - absolutely LOVED IT!

Low crowds, excellent weather, the F&W Festival is still happening (just avoid the weekend if you don't want massive crowds), and you get to see them transform the MK from Halloween to Christmas. I very highly recommend this time of year!

I agree that it's a great time to go. The weather is so much nicer than the summer/early fall heat & humidity, yet you still get some of the "special occasion" vibe from the Fall/Halloween decorations and the Food & Wine Festival. You might not see a lot of Christmas decorations that early in the month, but they should have begun putting them up so you can see some of them. We loved it the time we went in early Nov.

Does the weather permit swimming? For both water parks and resort pools? Seems it might be a bit chilly but i noticed the water parks remain open that time of year.

November is the month we always visit, specifically before thanksgiving. The weather has always been great and the crowds low... Jersey Week it gets a little more crowded and Epcot is crowded because of F&W Festival. We were there Nov 6-10 2013 and had gorgeous weather all week long... not a drop of rain and sunny everyday.. 10 days later my parents went and it rained most of their trip so it can be unpredictable. But it is our ideal time to go to WDW. And the weather was great for swimming. They heat the pools when its cooler outside.

I agree, it's a great time- low crowds, mild weather (often can still swim), and a bit more Christmas goes up every day. Christmas won't be completely in full swing until Thanksgiving (at least candlelight processional doesn't start until then), but the Very Merry Christmas parties will probably begin already, and decorations increase magically each night. I'd compare crowds to be about the same as mid October.

Yes I agree with Christmas going up more and more as November moves along. They start as soon as the last Halloween party is over. We were able to go to the first MVMCP on Nov 8th and it was the best night of our trip the whole week... so magical! It was so much fun! I would definitely do that again. Seeing the castle lit up with the ice lights is just breathtaking.. and a must see! You will be able to to see that in the beginnning of November!

We visited first 10 days of November last year, crowds were heavy due to Food and Wine winding down. The other parks were fine, but Epcot was super busy on the weekends. It was just a tad cool to swim, but comfy enough for shorts during the day and jeans at night. Fall is our absolute favorite time to visit.

November is a great time to visit. If Veterans Day falls on a weekend, then keep in mind it's a long weeks so you might see a little more people. We've experienced it in the past, but the crowds are very manageable. The kids are in school. By Veterans Day the Christmas lights are all up so if you like Christmas, you'll definitely come home in the spirit. The parks are decorated very nicely. The weather is very pleasant. The humidity has dropped. If a strong cold front comes through it might get chilly, but I guess if you're from lets say Wisconsin or something you can handle it.

Thanks! We are from the North East and we should've received a medal for braving the "polar vortex" this year! A cold day in Disney is nothing to us.
