Early MK Closings on Sundays In September

I notice that Magic Kingdom is closing at 7:00PM almost every Sunday in September. That seems a bit odd, since it's still daylight at that time of year. I assume there are private parties scheduled, but I don't see that listed. Can anybody confirm or offer a different explanation? Thanks!

Ya the Halloween party starts in Sept and usually runs on Sundays during that month with a couple of days during the week. I don't think they hve released those party dates as of yet, but if u see MK closing at 7, it's 99% chance a party will take place on that day.

I agree with you for the most part. The only one I don't agree with you in terms of dates is Magic Kingdom closing at 7:00 p.m. on Labor Day and Labor Day is on September 1st. I don't see TDO or Burbank actually thinking of doing a Halloween Party on that day since the kids in United States shouldn't be off from school on September 2nd.

Not sure of why Sept 1st is 7pm close however Disney Night of Joy is Sept 5 & 6 and the Halloween partys begin on Tuesday Sept 9.

Yes, but remember the times could change closer to the date.

While Wdwmagic calender is ahead of the WDW website, both sites have the same times up to August 31st. The WDW site is had the hours listed after Wdwmagic calender did for August 31st.

A Labor Day close at 7 could be just that. No other reason to close the park than to give CMs some time off. Just speculation on my part.

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney is going to extend Mickey’s Halloween Party. Because August 29th and September 1st MK is closing at 7 and Disney has recently announced they would be extending Food & Wine and Star wars weekend.
