Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know what crowds are like in early March? We will be going down to WDW from 3/5 to 3/10. Do we miss spring break? We have never been this time of year. Also, how is the weather? Thanks for all of your help!

spring break.

It will be a little busier than normal but dont freak out. It's not THAT bad. It will be super busy in MK on weekends though.

About Spring Break, just don't worry about it. Disney doesnt get busy that time of year because of Spring Break. You won't see many college kids at all. It's cheaper for most to go somewhere like Mexico even than Disney.

I think many go this time of year because of the weather. It's sort of the best weather time of the year to go and there's little rain, low humidity, warm temps.

It will be crowded but mainly at MK. and not too incredibly bad.

I will be down there from 3/4 to 3/7!

I can tell you the weather is nice, you will get a few very nice days for swimming so, around 77º is the average. (according to a websight I checked out).

as far as the crowds go, I am not sure. but I would like to know as well. I think that the weekends are always very crowded at MK, with the weekdays easier there. but I could be wrong, I am going off of my experience from a weekend trip in october of last year!

College spring breaks vary, from school to school. The one my hubby teaches at has theirs that week. It isn't too bad (we normally go the 1st week in march, but this year we went in Jan to get more use out of the annual passes we got last March). While WDW isn't your normal spring break destination, it is a good one for people who want to go to FLA, but not do the normal college party thing. (and much safer.)

The crowds aren't bad, the weather is normally pretty good, but a cold front came down and park there for a while, so be sure to check the weather before you leave and plan acordinly (you might need pants and sweet shirts at night.)

The wrost part about March is WDW considers it peek season so the rates are more. If you stay off prop that doesn't effect you much.

Have fun, normally we would be there with you. I am still trying to work on hubby to go somewhere. Califorina sounds good to me. (at least warmer then Michigan in March)

I think traditionally March/April time frame is definitely more crowded because of spring breaks. That's why Disney considers it a peak season. It's not just college kids, it's family's who don't want to take their kids out of school.

But having said that, crowds, except for easter week, would not be as bad as summer. You'll have a great time!

I have gone to WDW in March 2001 and 2003 and the crowds are not bad at all! I'm used to going in May, September and December, but the crowds in March weren't much worse. Of course, last year I was one of those college kids down there on spring break :D .
The crowds were fine until the last two days of our trip (March 13 and 14) when some cheerleader camps showed up at All-Star Music. Banging on doors late at night, taking up entire busses, (IN GENERAL) being rude to other guests. Yeah, that stunk. But aside from them, everything was A-ok!

right, however, im speaking mostly of college kids. as a college student who was in part of my college in NC and now in FL I can tell you that not many college kids go to Disney. Sure some do, but not enough to make a huge difference. It's not exactly the party scene, and many kids who don't party dont' go on vacations for Spring Break, because they have all summer.

About the parents taking kids, sure, those times do increase but those generally are later in March to April. Most elementary and high school spring breaks are later than college spring breaks.

I would agree civileng68, kids school breaks are later in March and April. So early March should be better!

Total thread drift - I just called to try to extend my reservations at the contemporary in February and the agent told me the Contemporary was completely sold out Feb 21 and 22. It's not President's day weekend so does anyone know what's up? A convention there perhaps?
