I noticed on the main page a comment about the possibility of beginning EE at the MK again, but I can not firnd any details. Does anyone have any info about this and when it might start again? I'm going again in 20 days, and it would be sweet if it was available by that timel

No additional information at all, except that it is being talked about within Disney, and is set for the MK only. More news as soon as I hear anything. :)

Thanks Steve. I have always been a big fan of EE, so I hope they reinstate it, beginning with MK and then ao all the other parks!

Amen to that. Ever since they started the CC, it seems like i have seen more characters in the parks also, so we get our fill of them at the park. PLEASE bring back EE. We planned our days around EE. Its a great perk for resort guest.

Agreed, and apparently this is a blend, sounds like there will be only EE days for MK (the only park I used it at anyway), but more days available, I think this is a smart idea. Does EE really make much difference at EPCOT or Animal Kingdom, and who can't finish MGM during a day.

True, you can finish MGM in a day, but it certainly was fun going to TOT and getting about three rides in early! Not THAT will wake you up!

20 days to go!

AK never had EE, but it helped at EPCOT to get on Test Track.

But the place I also used it the most and where it made the most sense was MK. I would love to see it reinstated also.

TTFN!!

Sorry to imply anything, but I never meant that AK had EE. However, notice that AK now opens at 9 instead of 8. I merely meant there would not have been any advantage to AK if they did offer EE, of course that's why they never did.

The return of EE at MK would be great. We really missed it when we were there in May. If they are only going to do it at one park I am glad it is MK. While the other parks can be "done" without it, it is nice to be able to start the day earlier (when it is cooler), avoid some of the crowds, and head back to the hotel in the late morning/early afternoon for a swim/nap.

Of course, keeping the parks open later would be nice too.

I can't understand why they ever stopped it - Certainly when I've been its always been well used. Perhaps the Sept 11th has had something to do with it and the decrease in crowds.
I will look forward to its re-introduction.

EE actually would make the most sense at AK, since the animals are most active at dawn (and dusk).

But, then, it's not a zoo, so what do you expect?

I hope they do both. Kids (big kids too) like being woken up by mickey and friends. we staid at the dolphin so we didn't have the caravan. but it just seems neat. and both would be a real awesome perk.

Why no early entry?

The thinking is, I suppose, that early entry guests simply ride rides, and don't spend much money during those hours. So the extra expenses are not justified. Of course, this doesn't take into account that the 'spenders' in my group, anyway, often spent during that time while the 'riders' rode, and that the 'spender/riders' rode first, then spent later. Last trip without EE, my little spender didn't buy any Disney merchandise as she was too busy riding in the shortened hours.

I think September 11th is the main reason. My main reason for thinking this is that it was mentioned in a section about Sept. 11th in the book "Inside Disney: The Incredible Story of Walt Disney World and the Man Behind the Mouse" (and just general economic downturns related to Sept. 11.)
