Early Entry and Fast Pass?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but will I be able to ( or need to for that matter!) use Fastpass during the Early Entry mornings?

If you grab a fast pass towards the end of the early entry hour you can ride it again very quickly when the park opens, We did this with TOT.

We've gotten FPs as soon as park opened and the return time was for shortly after opening, so you don't use them during the Early Entry but can save time as some lines build quickly.
