Early Departure and Breakfast Question

Hi Everyone,

I hope this is posted in the correct thread, I thought we had everything all planned for our trip in May, including the ADR's but then...... Spirit Airlines (I will NEVER fly with them again after the trips we have booked) threw a huge wrench in our plans.

I am wondering what time the food court at AKL starts serving breakfast? I have seen hours posted for a few food courts that say 7:00, but those were on some pretty old menu postings. Our original flight was scheduled to depart Orlando at 6:05 PM, then I guess Spirit cancelled that flight all together and bumped us up to a 10:40 AM flight . I am so mad that we now have to leave at 7:30 AM (on the ME). We had booked breakfast at Boma that morning, but that is obviously out of the question. We have the dining plan and I don't want to leave a credit so I am wondering if we will have time to at least get a quick service breakfast that morning of if I should see if I can fit a meal in somewhere else?

Thanks! I guess the absolute worst part is that we're losing almost a whole day of our vacation now. If only we would have known before we made all of our dining reservations!!

This is the reason why I won't fly Spirit anymore. I haven't heard anything good from the last few years. I hope that you can get your flight changed as I would be very angry to lose a whole day of vacation.. Good luck with the planning. :wave:

Well, DH just got off the phone with Spirit. They booked us on the 2:30 (the latest they have that day) at no extra charge. It's still not as much time as it would have been if they had never canceled the first flight, but it's way better than having to be on a bus at 7:30AM :sohappy:. Best of all we don't have to make any changes to our ADR's this way!!

I still think that I would not book with Spirit again. Even though they changed us for free, it's still not a great flight and I don't want to deal with this kind of stuff every time we fly!

Yummm, I love custom omelets, seems like whenever we go out for breakfast there is at least one thing about all the omelets on the menu that I want to change!

Since we're staying there and have the deluxe dining plan we're going to be eating breakfast at Boma almost every day.
