They need to bring back the garland across Main Street. Paris now does it for both Halloween and Christmas and they still have that Maleficent float in Stars on Parade (same as FoF). Or is it the Mickey balloon float that's considered too tall?

Halloween starting in August is ridiculous. Maybe wait til middle of September. When we started going in 1976, Disney didn’t know there was a Halloween.

As I understand it, it's not specifically that the Maleficent float that was too high but many of the others such as Tangled, Peter Pan and the finale balloon float with Mickey and Minnie onboard are too high. All of those floats are extremely tall and would not have fit under the garland as it was previously installed at all.

t would just be nice to have some breathing room between holidays. Maybe a week or two. But with the Christmas party starting so early too, they kinda have to do it....lame

This is how I feel about pro and college sports, give us a month free of this. Or at least the holidays. Man.

Once something becomes omnipresent, it is no longer special. I prefer to keep the holidays special. By the time Halloween and Christmas roll around, I tend to find myself fatigued.

So many people want to see the decorated parks but cant book trips during the holiday weeks. They also want to visit and try avoiding the massive building holiday crowds. Disneys giving their guests what they want knowing this will draw more people in. And since they are successful in promoting, selling more dates for the MVMCP event, its working for them. Personally, I enjoy the holiday decorations that cress up the parks and resorts and welcome a more feastive atmosphere.... even if its a bit early.

This is what it's about. Giving a larger audience a better opportunity to experience the holiday season at WDW.
