Early Check In

I'm staying at FQ as I had previously. I usually check in the day before. Last time when I checked in the question was do you want to be close to the bus stop or the Lobby Building (or something like that). I checked bus stop. Our room was fairly close to the bus stop but a ways from the lobby (building 7). Do you think it makes a difference when I check in to get a little better room location? I was thinking maybe three days early or even a week.

last few times we stayed at FQ we stayed in building #4 facing the parking lot with the bus stop on the left. it was a quick walk without having to go through the lobby. i would request that building if possible. as a bonus, we were next to the food court & lobby. we were able to get there in seconds.

Making a request earlier can help. They will take your request but they won’t guarantee a particular spot. What’s available for your time period of stay when you check in will determine a spot. We have had good rooms in bldg 4 or 5 that are convenient to both food court and bus stop. But it depends on what room you actually get as far as the distance you will be walking. POFQ is small enough that even the furthest room isn’t as bad as other resorts.

If you want to request a room you’re probably best to call and request, or use the chat option. You can do that any time.

Touring Plans have a tool for it too, if you have a subscription. They send them in 30 days before, as advised by Disney themselves. Use that as a guide.

The important thing though is that if you do make a room request, then when you do the on-line check in, do not select any of the location options. That will over-write anything already requested.
