Early Check In

What has been the earliest time you have been able to check in at a Disney Resort?
Our plane gets into MCO around noon so probably puts us at CBR around 1 or 130. I am traveling with my 4 kids ranging in age 1 - 14 and my Mom. I was hoping we could get into our rooms at CBR a little early just so the little ones could lay down for a bit.
I know there are A LOT of factors that are considered...but I'm just curious :p

It always varies for us- sometimes we can walk in and get our rooms right away and other times we have waited until after 4:00.

I think it depends on the resort, day, and what your specific requests may have been, ie. location, floor, etc.

I don't think there's anyway to know for sure how long the process with take, so just be prepared to be flexible. And have fun, you're at Disney!

My nephew and I checked into Pop at around 8:30am in February and our room was ready. But, of course, this always varies. If you're early, you can have bell services hold your luggage while you go to the park/explore the resort.
That was pretty sweet, though. The woman checking us in was like "And... oh yay, your room is ready!"

It really depends on the time of year. If the resort isn't filled you will have a better chance of checking in earlier. When I went in January I got there around 10am and had no problem getting a room them. In the summer I have gotten there at 2 and they said we won't have a room until 4.

As others have said, they will allow you to "pre-register" for your room, even if it's before the official check-in time. If your room happens to be ready, you can go to it. But if it's busy and Housekeeping still needs to clean it from the Guests who just checked out, you'll have to wait.

*Officially* you can pre-register as early at 7AM. In reality, you may be able to register even earlier than that. You won't be able to register until after the Front Desk completes its "end-of-day" process where the financial business of the previous day is closed out, and the next day is started. (Noone can register until that process is complete, and while it's running the front desk has VERY little access to the reservation and room inventory systems).

So you may be able to get checked in earlier if the end-of-day is done, but they only guarantee that it'll be done by 7AM.

We've checked in anywhere from 8 am to about noon and our room has been ready, as a matter of fact, we have never had to wait for a room and that is going in busy July, August & Spring breaks.

Quite honestly it is a crap shoot. About the only thing you can do in your favor is to be flexible. If you do not care where the room is located in a resort your chances are a little better but resort was at 100% occupancy the night before you check in, no amount of flexibility will get you into a room.

I just posted on another thread about this, but two yrs ago my wife was able to check into our DVC room at Beach Club around 5:30 am. She had been in the ER all night with our 1 yr old. They even gave us our room and we were moved in by 9 am. We had breakfast first.

We've checked into the CBR around 2:00 p.m. (two different times) and we were lucky.... our room was ready. If it's not ready, they can hold your luggage for you at the Custom House. You could always go to Old Port Royale and relax at one of the umbrella tables or you could sit on one of the beaches in a beach chair or lay in a hammock. I know that's not as good as relaxing in a room but it's still better than nothing.:animwink:
