I'm pretty sure that's a type-o.

The portal is the Cast Portal. Something CM's use for information. Bascially, if it's on there, it's official.

It may be a typo, but it might not.

It can even be worth while if you have kids that age...with one requirement. Make sure they take a rather lengthy nap that afternoon (during the thunderstorms, basically), so they can actually stay up long enough to make this worthwhile.

It sure sounds tempting. My kids usually stay up till 11 p.m. anyway, so it might actually be possible. Instead of giving them a nap around noon like I originally planned, maybe we'll let them take a long nap after dinner so they're wide awake when it's late. Plus, most of those rides are ones they can go on anyway.

I'm so excited now! This will be awesome!

I have another question. We are arriving in Disney on the 14th early in the morning and going straight to MK. When we check into Pop Century that afternoon will we still be able to get e-night tickets or will they be sold out by then? Would it be smarter to get them at MK?

My point exactly. And what's more--Evening Extra Magic Hours are at all four parks and pretty much the entire park is open, not just 9 rides.

Ok, I'm going to WDW with my a family (in all, a group of 6) this summer. 4 of us will be in a Disney hotel, the other 2 will be staying outside of Disney.

Of the 4 of us who are in the hotel, only two of us want to go to E-Ride Night. Therefore, can the other two who DON'T want to go buy an E-Ride ticket and let the 2 who are outside of the parks use the ticket to get a wristband?

Thanks!

I find e-nights to be worth the $12 because the rides that usually have the longest waits are all pretty much walk-ons. The evening magic hours are cool (and free) but they don't limit the amount of people so if every guest in a resort wants to go, they can and the lines may still be long for some rides. With the e-nights they limit how many people are allowed to by the tickets so you are pretty much guarunteed short lines. I did it a few years ago and plan to do it again when I go in July.

Initial reports from the Evening Extra Magic Hours suggest that crowds are no higher than during E-Ride Nights. The benefit that this new offering has is the volume of rides open. Since most of the four parks are open for this offering, they easily eat up the larger volume of guests at these events. The result is short lines for free at all four parks for 3 hours. I'll take that over 9 rides for $12 ;)

They put the wristband on you. Not that I'm advocating this, but give the resort keys to the non-resort guests.

That can be risky. I'm not saying it happens with any real frequency, but Disney always has the right to ask for your Resort Room Key and scan it to see if you are really staying at the Resort. It doesn't usually happen, but they have the ability to do it. Generally speaking, I would say not to try and cheat the system. The people paying 3x as much for a Disney Resort room than they would for a comparable room off property are the ones who deserve these Resort perks.

Neither E-Ride Nights nor Evening Extra Magic Hours are planned for that week. I suppose it's possible for them to extend the Evening Extra Magic Hours into that week, but pretty unlikely.

I hope this isn't a dumb question....

We plan to be in Epcot all day on June 4th. Can I still purchase an E-ride ticket for MK for that night? Or is it that I have to purchase a MK ticket for all day and pay extra for the E-ticket?

Thanks!
