My boyfriend and i r visiting wdw on august 15, which is an e night. We would like to know if any of u know how packed it gets, what rides can u go on, how do the prices work and are most of the stores and restaurants open. Oh yeah and does the park look the same as it would look on any night. Thanks is advanced:)

It looks just like any other night in the park, only with relatively few people there. Expect little to no line at all attractions that are open. Often, it's so uncrowded, they will let you ride twice in a row.
I love e-ride nights.
Do it.
Here are the rides that should be open:
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear
Haunted Mansion
Alien Encounter
Astro Orbiter
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Country Bear Jamboree

We did Buzz 6 times in a row. There is only about 5,000 tickets sold and the place seems empty. Another thing is we found some characters we had never seen before.

Get your tickets when you check in at your Resort (no matter what day e night is...they go fast). You will pick up your armbands in the late afternoon (they will give the the particulars). You have free access to EVERYTHING that is open. It's great. One word of advice...don't do e night on the same day you do an early entry day UNLESS you take a afternoon break (and nap). We made this mistake once and we were all useless the next day.
The current list as of 6/03:

Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear
Haunted Mansion
Alien Encounter
Astro Orbiter
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Country Bear Jamboree

Substitution of attractions sometimes occurs.

Some food, beverage, and merchandise locations are open, and the Characters will be available for photo opportunities as well.
The characters are usually out and about at the gazebo near Cinderella's Castle.

The following Merchandise locations are usually open: Emporium, Splashdown Photo, and Merchants of Venus.

The following Beverage locations are usually open: Main Street Bake Shop, Ice Cream Carts, Casey's Corner, Hub Pop Corn Wagon, Pecos Bill Cafe (closes 1 hour prior to end of event), The Lunching Pad, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

Does WDW transportation still run as normal after Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights?

Yes it does, even though the bus drivers don't announce it during the day. The buses come much farther apart, but there still are direct buses to the resorts from the MK. For example one guest reported waiting 20 minutes for a Port Orleans bus, in that time 4 All-Star buses showed up.
The boat transportation MAY not operate after E-Ride Nights. So those who took the boat to the MK (from Ft. Wilderness, etc.) must use the monorail and busses to get back. Check with your hotel to be sure.

Info from last 2 posts from www.wdwig.com (a great site for Disney info).

Double check the rules for E-Night when you check in at your hotel. I think you have to have multi-day passes, AND you have to use one that day (i.e., you can't go ONLY to e-night. You must go to another park--not necessarily MK--that day also)

Oh yeah--you have to be staying on-site to do E-Night.

You don't have to go to another site that day, but you do have to be using a multi-day admission ticket on that day. (Multi-day admission media include Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, Ultimate Park Hopper, Annual Passport, Premium Annual Passport, Seasonal Passport, etc.)

Depends on how tickets are selling. I have a feeling that you may have better luck for August 15 than for any of the other nights around it, since that's the day of the "official soft opening" of Mission:Space, and there'll probably be huge crowds at Epcot for it.

Hey, Back to the site!

Uh... Hey everybody!

For those who remember, I plan on getting my trip report up here in a few days. Should I put it on this thread or the Trip Reports one. Seeing as that's what it says anyway, I should feel foolish for asking, but... whatever :)

Thanks,
Kyle

We did the E-ride night when we stayed at the Polynesian last may, But my question is this; I know you have to purchase the tickets at a resort but do you have to be staying at a resort also?

Yes you have to be staying at a Disney resort or one of the DD Hotels

I called wdw today and asked them questions about the night. They said you had to stay at a resort. You can get them up to 15 days in advance and you get them when you check in. I asked them because of all the trips that I have taken, I have never done E Ride nights. He did say tickets are limited.

I called Grosvenor Resort (Downtown Disney Hotel) to make sure they sold E Ride tickets, which they do. I asked if you can use a Florida Residents Play 4 Days Pass to get it, and he said he thought so. I am going to find out when I go there on 8/15 and see. I will post the results, unless someone knows for sure.

Do you have to get them when you check in? Or can you get them Before you check in (I am staying at the Boardwalk)
