E:E Onboard Soundtrack?

Hey everyone.

Sonething popped into my head the other day with all the hype on Expedition: Everest, and I don't think it's been mentioned yet. Is there going to be an onboard soundtrack on E:E?

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, I did a search and didn't get anything.

Have a nice day!

I'm sure their will be some type of sound to cover up the rail sounds. I think it would personally be a horrible ride if the yeti made no sound and all you heard was the trains ;).

I just hope that the music isn't too annoying. lol

Wow, an E:E thread not started by animal_king1990....

From what I remember there will be no audio on board. However the Yeti will be present throughout the ride, so you'll either see images, or the mangled track, or hear him throughout the ride. Not sure if that is exactly what is supposed to happen, but thats what I remember.

Everything in this post is correct.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that while there will likely be sound effects throughout the experience, the trains themselves will have no onboard audio.

Joe Rohde did make an interesting comment in that recent interview though... If I remember correctly, something along the lines of the train letting off some steam and a whistle while pulling into the station. If it's true, I find it a neat little touch.

Hah, seems like if true, it will be one of those things that will only work half of the time. IE, the smells in Soarin' . In July 1 out of 3 times the smells worked. Seems like some of the little touches are the things that hardly EVER work.

Well, remember that it is theamed to a train anyway. But a real Yeti's voice, or squeel, is actually high pitched. We shall see. MY question, however, is if imagineers are going to stay true to a real Yeti, Bigfoot or Sasquatch (which are all the same). Is it going to smell? I've read numbers of stories throughout the years about incounters with the beast and how they say the stinch is overbearing...like raw eggs. Now that would be disturbing!

Interesting to hear that there won't be any audio on the trains. But it makes sense though. Thanks everyone for the information.

I do hope that they have great music for the village surrounding the mountain and music for the queue. Looking foward to hearing that.

What exactly do RAW EGGS smell like? As far as I know they have little to no smell at all, much less an overbearing one.

You know the smell when you have a gas leak? Thats the smell of eggs. Artificial, of course, because gas doesn't smell naturally, so you don't blow yourself up.

Well that smell would be known as "Rotten Eggs" not raw eggs. I was just being a smart a$$ about the typo in the initial message I quoted. :p :animwink:

Guys? Thrawn? I'm pretty sure the original poster meant to say "Bad Eggs", since Raw Eggs do not have a strong oder.

Btw, no onboard audio is definitely a bad thing. I've ridden most of the rides @ wdw without the audio on, and it definitely makes it less thrilling/interesting/fun. ESP rock n' rollercoaster...

I have a horrible sense of smell, so I really don't know the difference. Sorry.

There are only a few rides that have onboard audio. Splash does just fine without it.
