Dyslexia sucks!

Just wanted to vent:

Having dyslexic moments at the ATM machine is no fun.

I just deposited a check worth 210 for only 120 because i'm an idiot.

I wonder if they'll fix it? Luckily its is from a family member so sorting the money out wont be a big deal if the bank wont play nice. Do they even check the checks? They must, right?

Oh my head hurts, i'm having a bad day. I'll have them play the surveillence tape of me going "Ack!!" at the ATM after i realised it.

Call the bank (closest local branch, not the toll free number) and give them a heads up

I bank at SunTrust and found out their policy is to have a review of every transaction (at least at a couple of my local branches). I screwed up the math on my deposit slip once and received a letter from them a couple of days later saying they deposited "X" dollars to my account due to an error. It had a copy of the corrected deposit slip.

You should be fine, but a quick call as MKT suggested wouldn't hurt.

And if they don't correct it, I'd find a new bank because if they don't, the bank is going to have a $90 overage that they must find somewhere.

Call or at least check your balance or records online and see what they list the deposit as.

I ususally get a snippy letter informing me that they graciously corrected my inexcusable error.

(although my error favored me and not the bank.)

The error should be caught. But watch the statements, and check on-line if possible.

Ditto on this. Give them a call and I'm sure it'll be straightened out.
And don't beat yourself up too much. It's called being human! :)
I have a friend who, while paying his bills online, sent the electric company $3,115.00 instead of $31.15. He didn't realize the error until other checks started bouncing. What a mess!
