Does anyone else have problems viewing the movie files for media player? If so, were you able to fix it without downloading sp 2?

Are you talking about wmv video files from WDWMAGIC?

They will play on any PC with Windows Media Player installed.

What error message are you getting? are you able to play WMV files from other places?

Yeah, I have never had a problem viewing anything before. It always gives me the same error message when trying to view a video file. This is the error message that I receive...

80040241: Cannot perform the requested action

What do you think? I downloaded the suggested patch from microsoft.com, but it looks as though it is configured for SP2 which I don't have. Any suggestions?

uninstall windows media... and reinstall it??

That should work.. unless their is only the XP SP2 edition....

Have you fully downloaded one of the video files to your PC before trying to play it?

We can't save to computer by right clicking and saving. Could this be because we use firefox instead of Internet Explorer?

That shouldn't be the problem. I'm using Firefox 1.0+ and have no difficulties.
