DVC Weekly Meeting

Have you ever went to the weekly meeting for DVC members? We went to the meeting the week of 091706 and it was a blast. The meeting was conducted as a game show. Everyone that attended received DVC merchandise (a member baseball hat). People from the audience were selected as contestants and even the audience participated. Some really cool prizes were given out and the meeting lasted about an hour. They also provided drinks and snack. This was the first I had ever went to. It was a nice break and everyone (even the teenagers) had a good time.

We wanted to go last time we were there, but unfortunately, we got held up elsewhere (I think we were at MK at that time).

Thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely plan on doing this if they still have it next time we're down there.

Hey, Zz...off-topic but just curious: Has anyone ever accused you of being sarcastically disinterested in the topic-at-hand, since you sign your posts with "Zz?"

I had never noticed it before, but in this thread, when I saw it, it made me think you were saying that you found the question so boring, it put you to sleep.

Back on-topic, as for me, I only had one chance to do any sort of DVC mixer since becoming a member, but the time clashed with reservations for a Fantasmic dinner package, and didn't get to go.

Er.. no. You're the first one to tell me that. I've used that signature (which is simply a short form of ZapperZ) for at least since 1989 in my posts all over the 'net. I haven't had anyone commented on that till now.

Considering that I signed my trip reports that way too, it would be strange that I am "sarcastically disinterested" in my own trip reports.
