i've never talk to a DVC CM but i was just wondering from those that are DVC owners....what exactly does it cost? do you enjoy being DVC owners? is it any different then just staying on-site for non-DVC owners?

What it costs depends on how many points you buy... It also is impacted by whether you finance through DVC, through a bank or buy outright.

Oh well. Since you're 19, you can let your parents talk to the CMs and get all the info they need.
If you'd like to know about DVC so you can plan to own someday, the CMs will be happy to talk to you.

Well, My wife and I have been owners since 2002 and we love it. We are glad we made the purchase. We have 170 points and depending on level of accommodations can give us one big stay or three small ones. It is really a wonderful thing. I would encourage you to talk with a DVC cast member. I would be glad to give you our sales person if you want.

The way I see it, anyone here who's a DVC member must like it, or else they would've either sold their interest by now, OR started a "I really don't like DVC after all" kind of thread.
If you're staying in a DVC room but are not a DVC member, you won't experience any difference in treatment or amenities.
And how much you pay depends on how many points you want and if you're buying them direct from Disney or from a resale company. And of course, if you finance, what you're REALLY paying will be vastly different depending on the terms of your loan (interest rate, length of loan and so on).

We bought DVC in 2000 at OKW and my husband and I think it was the best decision we've made. We use it to the max. Last year my entire family came with us and we all stayed in a three bedroom grand villa. Next year we are trying to get my husbands family to go, we will get everyone their own studio there are too many of them for the 3 bedroom. We have also used our points to do the 7 day Disney cruise! Talk to a CM. They really are very informative and not high pressure.
