DVC and gift card, was this a scam sort of?

I got a card in the mail from Disney DVC about calling and listen to their promo about DVC and they would send me a gift card for 40.00. So I called, listened, they took my address, this was in January. I never got my gift card.
Did anyone else do this? Did you ever get a gift card? How long did it take?
My sister also called and basically the same spiel and a promise of a gift card.

I think I did mine the end of Jan, so hopefully will be getting it soon, good to know I didn't waste my time! I wouldn't even know who to call to inquire about it.

We did it, and we actually got a call from our DVC guy who I talked to (didn't buy a thing) and he apologized for it taking so long to get to us, and said that it was on it's way via UPS. We had to be home to sign for the package. It is possible they called to let you know it was on the way, you never got the message, and you were not home when they tried to deliver it. I would call the number to DVC and let them hear your story. They should be able to help you out! If you did the call then you should get the gift card!!

We got an invitation in the mail to do it...we have a Disney Visa so it might have been tied to that. :shrug:

To the OP, we did get our giftcard...it took about 6-8 weeks as others have said.

Ive only gotten the in house gift cards (AMC and WDWS) for hearing the info... Referral GC I have gotten three in the past six months, one took nine weeks and the other three. All on how backed up they are.

I am so glad I called DVC today, she told me it was coded wrong and will have it corrected. She said so many were coded wrong, hmmmm. Anyway, if anyone else has not received their gift card call this number 1-888-838-1406.

Hi, we have done it for 200 dollars gift card. They gave us 100 and after 6 times ringing on the phone we never had the remaining 100. For that reason is a scam
