Dumbo and Astro Orbitor Rehab

I just heard a disturbing rumor that both Dumbo and the Astro Orbitor will close down for most of Jan and half of Feb. The kids will be really bummed and so will I. Dumbo is to reopen on Feb 13, the day we are leaving. In most people's experiences on these boards, do they usually get the rehabs done sooner than what is advertised or are we going to be out of luck?

I can only hope this is true. Not out of malice, but because the Astro Orbiter does need a rehab. Only, it'd be better for them to keep one open while the other is rehabbed so that the kids have something to ride on. Hopefully they can get the planets spinning again.

It seems odd that they would close 2 spinny rides at the same time. I would guess they would alternate, of course I could be wrong since I am only using common sense and that does seem to be lacking over at The World these days. Worst case scenario, you still have 2 spinny rides left open between MK and AK. I do agree though, AO needs to get shut down and the planets need to spin again, I've been disappointed in their torpidity for a long time now.

Finished the re-hab at Carpets so there's at least one to go on when the other two go down.

Yes and no, really it a case by case thing so there is no way of telling.

2 possibilities:

1) Hopefully they'll be fixing the planets on Astro Orbiter

2) Maybe they're closing Dumbo to make it harder to spy on what they're doing with the 20KLutS lagoon. :lookaroun

When we were there in Sept., I noticed a lot of small cosmetic damage to Dumbo from the Hurricanes and this was actually before the last one. Astro needed work for a while. The magic carpets will be up and going by then.

Wow.. amazing.. Stupendous.. Disney c,loses the same ride twice at one time.. I mean good for disney getting the rides rehabbed... perhaps we see planets orbiting again??
