it was a lot wilder than it looked LOL but i thought it was SUPPOSED to feel like it was lifting...part of the ride (what do they call those? camel humps or something like that?)

I agree that it felt like that, but surely it was safe ?

The only confirmed alterations to the drop were some new platform tracking to make the experience smoother and less jarring. All of this talk about changing the slope of the drop, and making it less or more intense are just rumors that grew out of control. Changing the slope of a drop would require MASSIVE restructuring of the entire ride including the lift hill.

That's exactly what I was thinking because if you reshaped and redesigned something on the drop then the whole alignment of the ride would be knocked out of place and the circuit would be completely wrong!

Likewise, they couldn't change it because they wouldn't link up! (Wow, a forum where everyone agrees! :sohappy: :sohappy: )

All I know is I HATE the seat dividers. I am not a huge person but I do have pretty big legs. These seat dividers make it very tough for me to fit in the logs. I can only sit in the front seat now, where there is no seat back in front of me. Luckily I only ride the Toon Lagoon rides VERY first thing in the morning so I am always the only person at the attraction at that time (Seriously. I've never ridden Popeye or Ripsaw with another person. I've always been alone on these rides and I've been on them probably 20 total times each.)

Popeye is GREAT with other people, especially people you don't know and your friends/family mixed together! I've been on popeye with just one other person, sure I have a great time, but its so funny to get wet, especially when there is loads of others sharing the experience with you!

well there was a lot of times where the persons head would snap back and hit the person behind them in the mouth or face. It was kinda dangerous without the dividers.

Yeah, quite often you would have the people behind you come up and squash you on the drop too if they weren't holding on tight enough!
