Driving vs flying in December

Still undecided whether to drive or to fly down to Orlando from New Jersey. We have 3 kids under 5 and for those who know, there's a lot of bags, strollers, car seats, etc....

We flew down last year and it went well. We rented a minivan last year since we flew. This time around we thought about driving.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences?

Washington and Northern VA can be a problem at the wrong times of day, other than that(which we avoid by getting past there before 6AM) and an occasional construction delay in GA and FL, we have had no major problems. The highest traffic was one easter weekend(2005) combined with constr. on I95 between Jacksonville and daytona delayed us some. You can easily average 65 to 70 MPH including fuel stops and potty breaks.
