Driving/Parking

Hi everyone. A very basic question from someone who's never been to Disney and we're going at the end of March. We're flying in late, so staying at the Embassy Suites at the airport the first night (Hilton at WDW after that). My wife was fortunate enough to get reservations for Cinderella's Breakfast the next morning (our 6 year old daughters birthday). It might not have been too smart to schedule that for our first morning at WDW when we've never been there, but oh well.......

So my question is, for someone who's never been to Orlando, any hints on driving/directions from the airport, and where to park to get to the Magic Kingdom? Our breakfast reservation is for 9:15, what time should we leave our hotel at the airport? I know I can (and will) research this myself before we go, but I figured why not just ask all the friendly experts here at wdwmagic! :)

Well-done getting those reservations!:sohappy:

I'd leave no later than 7:15 (I assume you'll have your car already). It will take anywhere from :30 to :45 minutes to get to MK's parking lot. That will put you at the Transportation Ticket Center around 8:15, by the time you unload and grab a tram. Allow another :30 minutes to catch a monorail or ferry and clear security at the park gate: That will leave you 30 minutes to get over the Ooh-Ahh factor that comes with entering the maingate and saunter up main street to the Castle.
You could go to the Hilton, and bus-it from there but that will add a lot of time.

Dont forget to allow time to get autograph books and pens so that the kids can get autographs etc. Be sure to replace/charge all the batteries on the video cameras and still cameras, these are some truly Magical Moments!!!! Belle
