Good Morning All,
This just dawned on me...We are leaving for out trip Friday morning. We have the hotel book in Macon for the drive down; but didn't think about the hotel for the way back home. As much as I don't want to think about coming home already I must be prepared. What is a nice stopping point (10-12hours) up I-75 heading back to lovely Detroit, Michigan?

I live in sylvania (oh mi line) and we stayed in macon on the way down too!

What we did coming back (and will again do in august) is stay at macon again and do the 12 hours the next day.

So we leave the parks the last day about 1 or 2 and get to macon at dinner time....then we leave at 4am so we can avoid every bit of atlanta traffic....that was our logic and worked out great.

Great idea! I didn't even think of that. THANKS!

Fam, I am much further North, in Union, about 45 mins north of Lexington. We like to drive as far as possible on day one so day two is easier. For WDW we do go straight through but after our WDW stay we usually head south to Naples. That drive is about 20 hours from Naples back to KY so we try to make it north of Atlanta, so the day 2 Drive is about 7 hours. Georgia alway seems to go on forever;) Nice to break it up...
