Driving/A little help

If I am driving from the Philly/Delaware area, and I want to make one stop to sleep off of 95, any help?

Any one who has done the ride know of a hotel not to far off 95, and not to expensive that it will break the budget, and not to dodgy?

Any help will be appreciated.

I drive a couple of times a year from CT down to Florida and generally take 95. I always stay in Hampton Inn's when we need to stop. Most of the time we drive straight through. I do NOT suggest sleeping in the rest stops. I've taken a 2 hour break there several times (Virginia is the best for that) but, a couple was killed either last year or the year before doing that. I think that Hampton Inn takes AAA and I've had rates from about 80 -100. BUT, the room is spotless, and the bedding soft.

We now live in Ga, but used to live in Philly. I have made the Ga, to Philly trip too many times to count. Depending on how far you want to drive before stopping, I think Florence SC is a good stopping point for you. That being said, may I suggest the Hampton Inn and suites right off I95 near Florence. We have stayed there before and they usually have good rates. The hotel is convenient, clean, has free breakfast, and free wifi. Another good option is a nearby Hilton Garden Inn with similiar amenities. Hope this helps you.:)

We are from Philly and always drive. We always make it to Savannah, Ga and stop at the Wingate at the Savannah Airport off of 95. Its a good 12 hour drive or so but gets us closer to Disney.

We are from the South Jersey area and have made the trip over 20 times over the years.

We like to have a long first day and then a shorter second day. So now we usually stop at a Holiday Inn Express in Brunswick, GA.

We like all the Holiday Inn Expresses along the route down to Disney. We know exactly what we will get.

Also, if you check websites, you usually can get an excellent web only price for booking ahead of time.

We drive down frequently and my favorite stop is the last exit in Ga, Kingsland/St Mary's. There is a Comfort Inn just off the exit and from there you are less than 3 hours from the Mouse.
We live at the Jersey Shore and it takes approx 15 hours to get to this hotel.

We usually stop in Santee or Kingsland and stay at Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express...always clean. Pre program your phone with the numbers and you can call a few hours out and reserve a room, do not leave it to chance or you will be sleeping in the car at a rest stop. :lookaroun

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see numerous other threads similar to this and might find some info there.

Actually, get a copy of the book "Next Exit". It has all the phone numbers and hotels off every exit along all highways. That way you can see exactly where you are and what's available.
