I had to Google South Of The Border, never heard of it before. It looks like something you'd find on Route 66.
South of the Border was started in 1950 it's on the border on NC and SC remember it in the 60's driving to S Florida to see my grandmother, my father refused to stop there my brother and I wanted fireworks . Tacky just does not define it-- beyond tacky but it is a land mark on I-95

i’ll assume they do most of their business during the summer. we usually travel during the fall & sometimes stop there just to fuel up. it always seems like there’s no one there. makes me wonder how they stay in business.

A drive to Disney could be stressful but at the same time I’m sure it’s going to be fun
The traffic can be a bit stressful, but it is fun getting to see parts of the country that you don't usually see. And, being Canadian, I don't usually see any of the US, except Michigan occasionally, so I definitely enjoy the drive :)
