Now please correct me if Ive got this all wrong.I'am sure the drinking age ( alcohol ) is 21 in the USA ? And how strict does this law abide at Disney.? Something tells me in Canada it was brought down from 21 to 18 way back in the seventies.Anyway, like I said,if a family had a teenage DS or DD around 19 years and were, lets say, eating at Via Napoli, would they be allowed to have a glass of wine or any alcohol drink with their meal.?By the way,it doesn't concern my family,my DS is only 15,I have friends who are going in July this year, they have a 18 year old with them.

It is definately 21 at Disney. It was 18 back in the 70s, but was raised to 21 in the 80s I think. But Disney is VERY strict and you must be 21 my son is 24 and he was proofed (or carded) whenever he ordered an alcoholic drink

The drinking age is 21 in the USA, I'm not sure if they "card," ask for ID or not. The drinking age in Canada is either 18 or 19 depending on province and I'm told that you can serve 16 years old if it is a private home party, I'm not sure of that just what I heard. I know that under age 21 in Canada the legal drinking limit is 0.00, or don't even have one beer and get behind the wheel until you're 21.
My then 14 years son ordered a beer and was served in Ontario last year, I let he do it to see his reaction and he took one sip and said "that's awful!"

Hatter, not only is just about everyone carded, but if you buy two alcoholic drinks, the CM will ask who the 2nd drink is for, and ask you to point them out, by having the second person wave to the CM or raise their hand

The drinking age in the US is 21 and it is strictly adhered to in restaurants. If a restaurant is caught not following the law, they stand a chance at loosing their licence to sell alcohol. If the parents order their 19 year old a drink in the state of Florida they will more than likely be asked to leave the restaurant. If the restaurant really wants to get nuts that can actually call the cops on them.

Bottom line, don't do it.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm under the age of 21 but my friends have bought drinks for me many times at Disney and they never asked anything. Granted I was never in plain sight while they bought the drinks, but I guess it depends on the CM?
