Dream dining rotation and dinner reservation question

Hope someone can help with this question. It is still a ways away, but my fiance and I are going on a 4-night Bahamas cruise on the Dream as part of our honeymoon. We know that we want to eat at Remy or Palo one night (just looked at the menus, Palo looks more to my taste but not sure which she will want, and of course the new wife's choice is where I will try to make the reservations), but we also want to make sure we don't miss any of the three places on the dinner rotation. On a 4-night cruise do you eat at all three the first three nights and then repeat the fourth, or might the repeat be any night depending on the schedule? Also, are the fireworks or pirate night a set night that eating at Remy or Palo might cause us to miss? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just got back from a 4 night dream cruise. The 3rd &4th nights we ate at the same place, although the menu was different. I'd say your safe doing Palo one of those nights. Pirate night is the 3rd night. Hope that helps you.

Hello!

We recently got back from our honeymoon which included a 3 night trip aboard the Dream which we loved but was def not enough time! We were in a similar situation as you and with one less day so here is what we did:

1st night - Animators Palate (only open for dinner)
2nd night - Palo (we had eaten here on the Disney Magic last year)
3rd night - Remy (we figured this would be the best way to end our honeymoon)

We skipped the enchanted garden and royal palace for dinner because they are open for breakfast and lunch so thats when we got to try those. Not sure how pirate night works at dinner on the Dream since we were in Palo that night but the pirate party should not be missed!

Also, make sure you book your signature dining as soon as possible and get either a very early or very late dinner. If you get something around 7pm you will miss a part of both evening shows. Our Remy dinner took about 2.5 - 3 hours with all the courses and presentations!

I would highly recommend both Remy and Palo and its hard for me to choose one over the other. If you both feel that you like the Palo menu more, go for it! To me, Remy was more of the experience of actually being in an upscale restaurant in Paris....the chef and majority of the staff are from France and all are fluent in French. The food in Remy is very good and authentic but the dining experience just took too long IMO since we only had 3 nights.

Whatever you decide, you will not be disappointed. We hope to have pictures up soon since my wife likes to take photos of the dishes we are served when we eat out. Wish you the best and PM me if you or your soon to be wife need more advice.

Best of luck and congrats!

Oh and to answer your other question, you will repeat the restaurant from the 1st night on the 4th/last night.....so if you choose one signature restaurant, I would recommend it be on either one of those two nights.

This was not how it was for us. Our 4night cruise was just in may & we repeated the same restaurant the 3rd & 4th nights. Maybe it varies but that's how it was for us.

Thanks for the info. First time cruiser so I have to wait until 75 days out for my reservation, hopefully a good time that last night will be available.

So what exactly is the pirate night thing, and the pirate party? Is that the only night they do fireworks or do they do fireworks every night?

Fireworks are only on pirate night. There's a party up on deck followed by fireworks and a late night buffet.:)

Thats odd...having all those choices and they assign you to the same place two nights in a row.
