any one think the moving mouths and eyelashes is a little creepy? its cool technology and all but when you are so used to the "bobble head effect" that the characters used to do to portray speach, then all of a sudden they move, its a little weird......

your opinions?

I think it's amazing. Now the characters are even more real to the children watching these shows...it brings the characters even closer to human form...and to me that is a wonderful thing, especially for those kids who believe that they really are real...and this just confirms it for them even more.

Personally, I think it adds life to the show, and makes it seem live. Hook and Smee as Face fill out the picture, and make it one of the best shows on property, espically compared to the other lip-synced shows.

I'd love to see the new faces added to several shows across property, including parades, Festival of the Lion King, BatB, and Fantasmic!

Couldnt they easily incoporate this throughout the magic kingdom. I mean all they would have to do is just take the heads and put them on the other characters bodies around the mk shows and just schedule them so that they arent going off at the same time. Or is the technology a little but more than that?

It's a bit more than that. For instance, it's not just a basic head, it's speciliazed to the character. The Donald Design is Different from Mickey, for example. Here's a list of where I think the new Heads could be put to good use:

Disney Dreams Come True Parade-Mickey, Pinnochio (all other talking characters are face)
MK opening- Mickey

Epcot Tree Lighting Treat-Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald (Seasonal)

Beauty and the Beast-Beast, lumiere, cogsworth, mrs. potts, chip. (or they could always just make them face characters, I hear some of the New York Costumes may be available soon )
Fantasmic-Mickey, except in 1st scene (fingers loaded with pryo, and he doens't speak), Steamboat (no speaking), and Sorcerer (on the top during finale, he doesn't speak). Radcliffe should become face in order to match.

Festival of the Lion King-Timon
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade-Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Rafiki (could be face.)
Opening-Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto

That's all I can think of for now. An for those of you wondering why Hook and Smee are suddenly face, It was a required to happen, as they would have been the only 2 mask characters without lip movement in the show, that would look bad.

i have one teensey question
what is going to happen when kids see the shows with the moving mouths and then when they meet the characters they notice the mouths arent moving? is disney going to use the moving heads for everything? would the characters become something like the talking tree at animal kingdom?

I'm sure Disney is working on some new Technology for the characters.

As far as Kids noticing, they won't, The main point to them is that it's Mickey Mouse.

Don't be so sure. My 5 y/o daughter had a "Minnie Paradox" on our last trip. We were at AK and had seen Minnie over in Camp MinnieMickey, then we headed over to Everest. While my wife was riding, my daughter and I saw one of the boats that went around the Tree of Life island. On it were Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie. I happened to be video taping because I had never seen one of these boats operating and you can hear my daughter saying "We just saw Minnie in Camp MinnieMickey, but now she's on that boat ... that doesn't make sense. Is she wearing the same clothes?" I proceeded to tell her that we had had enough time to walk all the way across the park so Minnie would have had plenty of time to meet the other guys on the boat and come over by Everest too. Her response "It still doesn't make sense Dad." Darn reality.
