Dr reason...

I thought I would point out that my friend Tink has brought it to my attention that if I get my PhD, I will be Dr. M.D.

This is the single best reason I have found for pursuing graduate work.

I thought it was a compelling reason to go through with a rigorous doctorate program.

Doesn't Mighty Duck, M.D. sound like the name of a medical drama? I can see it now... a stunning, professional-looking duck enters the emergency room...an orderly approaches her and says, "Miss Duck, can I help you?" The duck removes her overcoat, revealing a lab coat, "That's Dr. Duck to you. Where's my patient?" Whereupon, a frantic George Clooney bursts into the room and says, "Where's Dr. Duck?" and seeing her, sweeps her into an embrace and then proceeds to...

Ok, yeah, I've watched a few too many ER reruns...
