Downtown Disney Area Resorts

Has anyone stayed at a Downtown Disney area resort? We're planning on the Grosvenor in Oct. I just wanted to know what it's like and how much different it is from an official Disney resort. For instance, is the shuttle service as frequent, do they have the same luggage handling options, and is priority seating/conceirge similar? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

i HAVE stayed in downtown disney i found it to be just as enjoyable. The shuttle service was good. I stayed at the grosvenor when i was younger dont remember much of it.. I stayed at the travelodge in downtown disney i think its called the best western now, really great place. good service, good food. Hope this helped id recomend staying in Downtown Disney

Hi K9kRIS I have stays at the Grosvenor for more than ten years
and I love it . They have a great Buffet for Breakfast and I find
all the Hotel worker are very nice If you have a problem go
to the front desk and they will help. Its a short walk to Down
town Disney for shops and Pleasure island. the Buss are
ok so I hope you have a good time.

We stayed at the Grosvenor two years ago and were very happy with it. We're going back this month as a matter of fact. You would have better luck walking over to Disney Village to catch buses[about a 5 to 10 min walk] as they run more frequently than the ones from the hotel. Have a great trip.
